The Time Has Come—First Look!!!
The reveal of the new brand identity for Apeiros World Project, check it out!
This has been a long time coming in finding the right talent and artistic vision to furnish a cohesive logo and brand identity for Apeiros (think about the iconic bold typeface for everything Star Wars).
“According to George Lucas and the Star Wars branding team, the choice of the wordmark was intended ‘to represent the future, the possibilities of space, and the vast world created and inhabited by the Star Wars characters.’”
Symbols, imagery, semiotics, wordmarks, logos, etc… everyday we’re surrounded and influenced by familiar and unfamiliar designs used to convey some sort of meaning and now—
I’m proud to present the new and official logo & brand identity typeface for The Apeiros World Project:
Many thanks to Shaun Beyond for his immaculate design work on this. Expect to see these logos & typeface replace everything as the official branding on the AWP in the coming months.
One represents the Future and the other the Past
Energy, Mystery, Harmony, Wonder—Discovery, Knowledge, Identity—these are all themes that resonate throughout both designs—and the larger storyline that is Apeiros.
Incorporating the designs of each of the Sacred Element symbols from the prologue to Apeiros.
“They encapsulate the concept behind Apeiros, combining sacred geometry, afrofuture-tech, alchemy and mysticism. The first, features more of an advanced line-art style which can be affiliated to neo-retrofuturism and tribalism, while the second one explores a more modern approach of such visual concepts, inspired by fractal geometry.”
Purpose + Backstory
The Apeiros World Project (AWP for short)—started in a backwards fashion. I had these crazy ideas and visual concepts heavily influenced by alchemy and sacred geometry. However, as characters and a cohesive storyline started to emerge, there was no forward facing identity to really speak to the essence of Apeiros World. Until now.
With this official brand identity out into the world, it’s one step closer to bringing this story to everyone in the world.
