Siva.
The dominant sentient species on Apeiros are the early ancestors of the present day Siva. Their survival depended upon intermingling with other space faring species when the remaining population of Siva relocated to New Albyion, the moon colony established to rescue the Siva population, but also as an outpost of intergalactic trade and travel.
The Preservers are those few pure blooded Siva that adhered to the “old ways” and rituals set in place a millennia ago. Their main purpose is to maintain and preserve, the rich history, traditions, and sacred relics of Apeiros. Many seek the untapped power that the Siva possessed when in their prime state; where all life on Apeiros was one could call a near perfect utopia where anything was possible.
An alluring appeal to those who seek the dangers and wonders of Apeiros’ sacred treasures on its hostile surface; believing these relics will grant them power and control. Yet the Preservers are not much welcomed or looked upon favorably in society as most see them as outdated and irrelevant, good for telling fanciful stories of the past and keeping to their odd ways.
Their leader Tysin oversees the successful recovery and preservation of any Sacred Elements of Apeiros while guiding its members in the rituals and traditions observed in the surviving texts of their ancestors. Rituals that speak to balance, harmony, energy, wonder, and other edicts that all Siva Preservers maintain for through upholding these various tenets that one day may help them reclaim the power and lustrous glory that was Apeiros.
However, danger is approaching the Preservers. Their teachings go against what Glyph, the dominant faction and de-facto ruling elite, have established as heresy to the common good and verified history across New Albyion…their days might be numbered…
